St. Christopher’s Anglican Church was not built until 1938, making both of the modes of transport beside it almost certainly much older than it. The church was officially deconsecrated at 7:00pm on Sunday, April 22, 1990. Later in the 1990s the building was sold into private hands and today has become the home of Pyrex Pete's Vintage Shop. We assume that these two vintage lawn ornaments have been put in place as advertisement for Pyrex Pete's.

The wagon nearest the highway is a light ranch wagon, or doctor's buggy. All wood except for the steel and iron fittings, it is sprung on leaf springs front and rear. Atop is an extremely well worn padded leather seat, most of the leather and padding now gone. On the sides of the seat are mounting posts or brackets for a folding top, also now gone.

Slightly behind the buckboard and nearer the building is an equally old farm or freight wagon, all wood with wood spoke wheels. It was this style of wagon which passed through Clinton almost daily for many years, beginning in 1863. It was in that year that the wagon road to the gold fields around Barkerville was opened, Clinton becoming a supply point and rest stop on the Cariboo Road.

Unlike the ranch wagon, designed to be pulled by a single horse, the freight wagon was intended to be pulled by 2, 4, or even 6 large, strong horses, the number dependent on the weight of the load and the steepness of the trail.

2 wagons, a buckboard, or doctor's buggy and a freight or grain wagon
