DE: Auf dem Innenhof des Hotels und Restaurants Mathildenhof auf der Mathildenstraße in Pulheims Stadtteil Brauweiler befindet sich eine handbetriebene Wasserpumpe. Sie ist etwa 3m hoch, aus Metall (wahrscheinlich Gusseisen) und mit einem grauen Anstrich versehen. Wann die Pumpe aufgestellt wurde und wie lange sie in Funktion war, ließ sich nicht herausfinden.

Die Bewegungsmöglichkeiten des knapp 2m lange Pumpenschwengels wurde durch angeschweisste Metallstücke am oberen Gelenk bis auf ein paar Zentimeter Spielraum bewegungslos gemacht, ebenso wurde der an der Pumpe angebrachte Wasserhahn durch Entfernung des Drehknopfes funktionsuntüchtig gemacht.

Die Pumpe befindet sich auf dem zum Parkplatz für Gäste umgestalteten Innenhof am rückwärtigen Eingang zum Hotel / Restaurant, der sich von der Mathildenstraße aus erreichen lässt. Eine Genehmigung zum Betreten des Innenhofes von der Straße aus wurde von den Besitzern des Hotels im Rahmen eines Geocaching-Events erteilt.

EN: There is a hand-operated water pump in the inner courtyard of the Mathildenhof hotel and restaurant on Mathildenstrasse in Pulheim's Brauweiler district. It is about 3m high, made of metal (probably cast iron) and painted gray. It was not possible to find out when the pump was installed and how long it was in operation.

The possibility of movement of the almost 2m long pump handle was made motionless by welded metal pieces on the upper joint to within a few centimeters, and the tap attached to the pump was made inoperable by removing the rotary knob.

The pump is located in the courtyard, which has been converted into a parking lot for guests, at the rear entrance to the hotel / restaurant, which can be reached from Mathildenstrasse. A permit to enter the courtyard from the street was given by the owners of the hotel as part of a geocaching event.
