On the north side of Summit View Cemetery, is a section called "Boot Hill", where outlaws are laid to rest. Bill Doolin is one of those outlaws, and his marker tells how he died. Bill has an upright, large marker that is in good condition. The large headstone just south of Bill's is for Elmer McCurdy, a bank and train robber. Boot Hill gets a lot of visitors!
About 30 minutes northeast of Guthrie, in Ingalls, is the location of the Doolin-Dalton Gang Shootout.
