"En 1690 , la tour fut reconstruite et la nef fut dotée de deux nefs , après quoi un nouveau portail fut ajouté en 1735 .
En 1923, l'église a été restaurée selon les plans de l'architecte Jan-Albert De Bondt (Gand) avec l'érection d'un mur de cimetière et d'une sacristie ; 1978 : restauration de la tour par la ville de Furnes et 1979 : adaptation de la toiture de la sacristie à un projet de l'architecte B. Hendryckx (De Panne).
C'est une église-halle en briques de style gothique tardif. La tour semi-construite a un plan carré et comporte trois sections. La tour est surmontée d'un toit de tente incurvé. Il y a un transept abaissé. Le chœur est fermé sur trois côtés.
Une pierre tombale datant de 1703 a été construite dans la façade sud. L'église est entourée d'un cimetière.
L'intérieur est voûté par une voûte en berceau en bois. Les poutres reposent sur des têtes en pierre naturelle, qui représentent d'anciens marguilliers.
Dans le chœur se trouve un autel à portique en bois du XVIIe siècle, dédié à saint Audomar. Le cockpit de la chaire est également du même siècle. Il y a une pierre tombale du début du 17ème siècle.
L'orgue a été construit en 1847 par Charles-Louis van Houtte à partir de pièces d'un orgue du XVIIIe siècle dont le facteur est inconnu."
