This sculpture is in honor of Christa McAuliffe and the crew of STS-51-L. It sits on a carpeted platform outside of the IMAX theater and is composed of four silver arches and one pointed rod in the middle.

The sculpture was designed as a memorial to Sharon Christa McAuliffe and the crew of STSA 51-L, who died in the explosion of Space Shuttle Challenger, January 28, 1986..
