This benchmark plate is installed vertically and flush with the south-southwestern wall of the Toronto Islands Lighthouse. It is approximately 0.2m above the base layer of stone and about 0.4m above grade. If facing the blue Ontario heritage plaque, look around the corner to your left near the bottom of the wall (see photo).
The benchmark plate is identified as "No. 200" and states an elevation of "7.34". The monument displays numerous impact marks and some green corrosion but is otherwise in good condition.
This benchmark could not be located in either the NRCAN or COSINE databases.
