In celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Town of Suffield, a barn quilt trail was established throughout the town. Some painted barn quilts are bases on traditional patterns and others are more modern in their design.

The "Colonial Rose" barn quilt was created by Laurie Tavino. It is one of several barn quilts that are displayed in diamond orientation. The traditional design features triangles, with complex floral designs, forming a seven pointed star radiating out from a central circle. Surrounding the star is a complex starburst pattern of triangles.
Your Visit:
The barn quilt is on the east on S Main Street near the porch entrance to the Dr. Alexander King House and Museum. It is more easily seen while travelling northbound on S Main Street. However, the Dr. Alexander King House and Museum has a parking lot you can use around the corner on Kent Avenue.
