The Jane A. Delano Post No. 7 of the American Legion erected a monument dedicated to the memory of women veterans of the World War I and World War II. The upright section of the granite monument is inscribed:

Description of Memorial:
Soldiers' Field Northwood Cemetery is is owned by the City of Hartford. It the final resting place for over 7,000 veterans who served in time of war. The women's monument is one of four other monuments honoring veterans. It also has a plot with the graves of five unknown victims of the Hartford Circus Fire of July 6, 1944.
