This memorial at the northwest corner of the Hall County Courthouse Square is dedicated to those who fought in what was then called the Great War, or The War To End All Wars. When this monument was constructed in 1924 the horrors of World War II to come were barely on the horizon. The monument is a statue of a Texas Doughboy and a plaque that lists the names of those from Hall County who fought in that conflict.
