John Knight Memorial Park Sundial is located in a large park on the eastern foreshores of Lake Ginninderra in the Belconnen area of Canberra.
"It was named after Senator John Knight (1943-1981) who, as Chairman of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Australian Capital Territory, played a major role in ensuring the preservation of much of the shores of Lake Ginninderra for public recreation."
