Porcupine Gorge extends for more than 25kms along Porcupine Creek where the creek has carved an impressive canyon up to 120 metres deep that reveals strata of sedimentary rocks spanning hundreds of millions of years of which the oldest rocks are the schists, gneisses and amphibolites .
