The Railway Inn, formerly The Yeoman, is located on Audley Road close to Alsager Station.

The hanging pub sign depicts a painting of LMS Royal Scot class, 4-6-0 locomotive 6137, “Vesta”, built in 1927 and scrapped at Crewe in May 1963. (visit link)

The Railway Inn is Victorian in origin and has stood at the location since 1835.
The name was changed to the Yeoman in the 1960's.
In 2014 the pub was bought by Reclamation Inns Limited, a small company based in Stafford.
It was sold in January 2020 to Red Oak Taverns.
The pub has undergone a total internal refit into three distinct drinking/seated areas, with a mix of wood and tiled flooring, and railway memorabilia on the walls inside and out.
Improvements have been made to the exterior fabric of the building, and the beer garden and seating installed on decking at the front of the building.
