These two Imperial Guardian Lions flank the entrance to the Chanh Phap Buddhist Monastery in northeast Oklahoma City. Both lions are male and are shown in a traditional pose, holding a ball (representing the Earth) under their paws. Such are said to protect the premises from intruders and other dangers.
