A granite monument has a bronze sculpture of an eagle looking over its right wing while perched on a hemisphere. The front has a bronze tablet with the dedication:

FREELY GAVE THEIR ALL
TO SAVE THE WORLD
FROM TYRANNY
AND WHO NOW REST
FAR FROM HOME
