DE: Etwas südlich der Trauerhalle des Kölner Südfriedhofes steht eine kunstvoll gestaltete Sonnenuhr, auf der oben ein etwa Globus aus Sandstein mit einem Durchmesser von etwa 40cm angebracht ist. Die glatt geschliffenen Kontinente lassen sich je nach Sonnenbestrahlung mehr oder minder gegenüber der aufgerauhten Wasserfläche gut erkennen, leider ist der Globus durch Umwelteinflüsse stellenweise permanent verschmutzt.
Am Äquator sind gleichmäßig um den Globus 24 kleine, runde Metallstückchen für jeweils einen Stundenabstand, sowie an Nord- und Südpol weitere Metallstäbe, die die Rotationsachse andeuten sollen, angebracht, der Metallstab am Nordpol wurde aber leider abgebrochen. Der steinerne Globus liegt, wie die reale Erde im All, etwas schräg auf der Sonnenuhr.
Hergestellt wurde der Globus und die Sonnenuhr einem angebrachten Schildchen nach in der Steinmetzwerkstatt Anno Walk.

EN: A little south of the mourning hall of Cologne's southern cemetery is an artfully designed sundial with a sandstone globe with a diameter of about 40 cm. The smoothly ground continents can be seen more or less well compared to the roughened water surface, depending on the amount of sunlight. Unfortunately, the globe is permanently polluted in places by environmental influences.
On the equator, 24 small, round pieces of metal are attached evenly around the globe, each at an hourly interval, as well as further metal rods on the north and south poles to indicate the axis of rotation, but the metal rod at the north pole was unfortunately broken off. The stone globe, like the real earth in space, is slightly inclined on the sundial.
The globe and the sundial were made in the stonemason's workshop Anno Walk according to an attached label.
