From the website, "A three-tiered fountain of Victorian design with images representing Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, Tidewater lands, and agricultural farmland. The first (lowest) tier depicts striped bass, spot, croaker, crabs and oysters, and a terrapin, in their natural habitat in the Chesapeake Bay. The second (middle) tier portrays a great blue heron, a family of black ducks, swamp sparrows, a killdeer, a frog, and a terrapin in the marsh land surrounding the Bay. The third (top) tier represents the agricultural uplands, with corn, tobacco, and white oak leaves. The Maryland State shield is included on the east and west sides. The fountain is set within a circular basin."
