The mural is on a commercial building.

The Founder of Meyersdale, Peter Meyers, says, "Welcome to Meyersdale." on the upper portion of the front nose of the building.

The bottom scene is a Western Maryland engine pulling a coal train across the Salisbury Viaduct. (The viaduct is now a part of the Great American Passage trail.)

The side of the building is labeled, "early Meyersdale." The bottom scene shows people (and two dogs) collecting maple syrup with buckets and taking the buckets to a horse drawn wagon. There is snow on the ground, among the maple trees.

The middle scene shows people entering a factory. This scene is in shades of gray.

The top scene shows a hay harvest. Some men are using pitchforks to toss the hayricks into a wagon as a team of horses pull the wagon. Some children are playing nearby. It is summer and the fields are green.
