"Native Plants of New York" is one of the original 21 painted utility boxes commissioned by the Ithaca Public Arts Commission in 2012 in a program called 21 Boxes. Botanical artist Kellie Cox-Brady has painted all four sides of this utility box with images of native plants found in New Your State. On the street side you can find Eastern white pine, Joe Pye weed and black-eyed-susans. On the west side are wild cranberries, blue lupine and more black-eyed-susans. The sidewalk side is dominated by wild blueberries and scarlet bee balm. The east side continues with scarlet bee balm and Eastern white pine.
