The plaque says, "North Point-September 12, 1814- Following a dawn landing at the tip of North Point, British Forces passed here en route to Baltimore. About four miles further on they encountered American skirmishers under Major Heath."
The plaque is located at Sparrows Point High School on the east side of North Point Road.
