The Elk City post office is located at 101 S. Adams, on the southwest corner of Broadway. This is a one-story tan brick building with a flat roof. There are large segmented window units and a two-door glass entrance, with a 10-step staircase.
The cornerstone is located on the north side of the entrance porch. It is a large concrete block set into the bricks. It reads:
