The carillon is located just south of San Diego International Airport and north of Shelter Island. It is along the walkway of the bay. A small plaque facing north says, "The Callaway Carillon is presented to the Port of San Diego by Thearle Music Company Associates recognizing Harry Evans Callaway for his Sixty Years in the Music Industry in San Diego 1993".
