Devon's Place is a playground designed to be accessible to children who use wheelchairs to they can play together with other children. It is in Mathews Park near the Stepping Stones Museum. It has a nautical theme because Norwalk is on the Long Island Sound and has a popular aquarium.
The playground features a lighthouse, swings, a splash pad, and a labyrinth, as well as a jungle gym.
The signs are also in Braille so they can be read by visitors with visual impairments. The Braille sings were sponsored by the Norwalk Lions Club.
While it is not officially seasonal, the splash pad is only operational during summer months. Because this is New England, there are months of the year that this would not be a good place to play! It is open daily until sunset.
