The sign is located along PA Rt 453 adjacent to Irvin Park which the land was donated by Hugh and Elizabeth Irivn in 1922.The sign has a picture of a small water dam which is located in the park on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.
Curwensville was named for John Curwen in 1799. Curwensville became the second borough of Clearfield County in 1851.
