Rattray is a small town in the Scottish county of Perthshire, and effectively the eastern part of Blairgowrie, the larger town that lies on the western side of the River Ericht. A bowling club was formed here in 1921, with a green costing £300, and a wooden pavilion £400.
In 1949, the first lady member was accepted, and a ladies section formed in 1956. By 1960, new facilities began to be built, and since then, a bar, lounge and locker room have been extended around the northern and western sides of the green.
The green is adjacent to Middle Road on its western side and easily found just north of the main A926 High Street.
