In 2002, the U.S. issued a sheet of fifty stamps designed to resemble vintage “Greetings from…” post cards, one from each of the fifty states. These often showed animals (either wild or domestic) and natural or man-made features commonly associated with that state. Representing the State of Wyoming are elk and Grand Teton.

The Teton range in western Wyoming rises abruptly and offers more photo opportunities than you know what to do with (thank heaven for digital cameras!). The coordinates for this particular view are from the Teton Glacier turnout along Teton Park Rd. which lies within the boundaries of Grand Teton National Park.
