In celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Town of Suffield, a barn quilt trail was established throughout the town. Some painted barn quilts are bases on traditional patterns and others are more modern in their design.
The "Family Tree" barn quilt at 4 Hickory Street uses rhombuses of various colors to create the crown of a tree and a brown rectangle for the trunk. Also, is added the year the farm was established: Est. 1670. The barn quilt was created by Erin Magoon in 2021.
Your Visit:
The "Family Tree" barn quilt is on the north side of Hickory Street. It is easy to see while driving from both directions. There was lots of equipment in the yard, so this is an active working farm. The barn itself is a rustic, old tobacco style barn with unpainted barn boards.
