EN: This welcome sign was put up in 2005 on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the village of Mehlbach. Mehlbach is located about 12km northwest of Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate and has almost 1100 inhabitants. Mehlbach got its name from the river of the same name, which then flows into the Lauter near the southern neighboring town of Katzweiler. The city coat of arms is depicted in the top center of the welcome sign, which contains a blue river (probably the Mehlbach) on a white background, which runs from the bottom left to the top right. The river is bordered by two green oak branches with two leaves each.
Blazon: In silver, a blue oblique left-hand wave bar, accompanied on both sides by a two-leaf green oak branch with a green acorn on each side.
