Approach at night: APPROACH AT NIGHT We will
proceed in the same way taking into account the beaconing: Coming from the South, we will sail on demand from the entrance of the SW, the one that passes between the Couso point lighthouse (GpD (3) BV 10.5s 20m B10M V8M) and that of the island of Ons (GpD (4) B 24s 127m 25M). Being in the opposition of the same we will sail towards 040º approx. until the red light (CtR 1s 7m 4M) from the end of the harbor breakwater and the green light (GpD (3) V 9s 6m 2M) from the entry mark is visible from the bow.
Day Approach: DAY APPROACH
Nauta Sanxenxo is located on the N coast of the Pontevedra estuary and only 0.6 M from Portonovo. The entrance to this port does not offer any greater difficulty than the entrance to the estuary itself, whose access channels are described below: • The first one passes between the lower Fagilda and the Picamillo, they are sounding between 9.4 m and 15 m and is the main one to enter through the mouth of the NW. To take this step, all you have to do is take Mount Facho to 325º -in Corrubedo- with the most salient towards the sea of ??the O Grove peninsula. • The second of the channels passes between the lowlands of Los Camoucos and Ons Island, it is barely 0.3 m wide and is drilled between 7 and 15 m. These shallows are marked, so there will be no more than averaging the passage between Ons Island and the mark. If after the channel you want to continue shuffling to the S Ons Island, you will have to give it a respect of at least 400 m. • The third of the channels is the one that passes through the mouth of the SW, it is the safest and the only one accessible with any type of sea.
