"Just as St. Ann nurtured the Blessed Virgin Mary as the first and best disciple of Jesus, we see ourselves as a nurturing community making more disciples for Jesus. Prayer, hospitality, and service are the three things we do best and which we seek to develop in our service of Christ, His Church, and the larger community." ~ Archdiocese of St. Louis
"Originally, St. Gertrude Parish would include what is now the parish of St. Ann, Clover Bottom. Beginning in the 1870’s, land was offered for the establishment of a Catholic Church and/or School at Clover Bottom for the Polish immigrants. In 1899, St. Ann was established as a separate parish." ~ St. Gertrude
