This dam is in Johnson-Sauk Trail State Park and was built to create a 58 acre lake for fishing and light boating. The lake has about 2.5 miles of shoreline.

The entrance to the park is off of Rt.78 just north of Kewanee, IL. The entrance coordinates are:
N 41 19.279, W 89 54.279
