Weetslade Mural - Burradon, England. - Murals on Waymarking.com

This mural situated on the wagonways trail between Burradon and Weetslade Coillery Country Park is painted on a Bridge supporting the A189.

Sadly it has seen better days and the parts that can still be seen are starting to chip and deteriorate. It depicts the old railyard for the the old Weetslade colliery. you can see the pit head wheel and the spoil heaps in the background.

Unfortunately I can find no information on when this was done or by whom but a photo of the mural when it was in good condition before it was defaced can be seen by clicking on the link at the bottom of this description.
