The downtown courtyard is situated between two buildings
on Willis Avenue. Both entrances to the courtyard have archways of metal sculptures by Albert Paley. In the middle of the courtyard is located the life-size statue of George Soumas, three-time mayor and war hero, seated at one of the cafe tables. The piece was sculpted by Christopher B. Bennett. It looks as if George is inviting you to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with him. The boy in my photo is of my son and caching partner, Bus Boy. There is a micro geocache located half a block away, too!
