This home is also known as the Graham-Lomax House, as it was built in 1898 for Otis T. Graham, and later purchased in 1911 by R.P. Lomax and his wife, Lizzie, who taught English at what is now the University of North Texas. Most descriptions of the house mention its seven fireplaces, each with a different architectural style, as well as its stained glass windows and beautiful turret.
