Kobcy 656
Wykopano jaj tego owadu garcy
555 1/3 (?)
Użyto do tego robocizny pieszey
Dni 14000"

The Locust Monument in Zwierzyniec is one very unusual monument, certainly unique in the country, and perhaps even more widely, commemorating the eradication of a migratory locust invasion in 1711.

The monument is in the shape of a stone cuboid and is located under a wooden gazebo. On the top there is an inscription: "In memory of eradication of migratory locusts I came to this area on August 26, 1711" and nearby villages are written. From the front one can see the inscription: "God has threatened the people, but with faith work disarms His wrath and disaster is averted". On the back details of the invasion are written:

"Exterminated locusts alive
Kobcy 656
A handful of eggs of this insect were dug up
555 1/3 (?)
The labor used for this was on foot
Days 14000"
