"The organ was built in 1821 by J.A. Hillebrand (Leeuwarden) for the Reformed Church in Akkrum. In 1856 the firm P. van Oeckelen & Sons (Haren) transferred it to Veenhuizen. The firm of Bakker & Timmenga (Leeuwarden) restored it in 1964. In 2005 the firm of Bernhardt Edskes Orgelbau from Wohlen (Switzerland) enlarged it with a Rugwerk behind the empty rugwerkfront of Hillebrand. Also a pedal-Bourdon is added and the Trompet 8' is renewed."
