The farm is operated by the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences. The farm grows food (both dairy and produce) that is used in dining halls on campus and the Maryland Dairy ice cream shop in the Student Union. I used to pass by this farm every day during my first two semesters at UMD, but never actually took photos until 21 May 2021.
