In the center of Waalwijk, at Raadhuisplein 2, in the heart of Langstraat, the former town hall of Waalwijk stands proudly and invitingly. A national monument, built in 1931-1932 to the design of the Dutch architect Alexander Kropholler (1881-1973). An imposing and in many ways unique creation. A building rich in architectural-historical elements. A living monument from the twentieth century.
The two lions with the arms of the Netherlands and the province of North Brabant complete the whole. The lions are situated above the main entrance.
