This bronze statue of John Milton Turner and his Seeing Eye Dog Eben is on the grounds of the Frisco Heritage Museum. According to the plaque on site, Eben was John's eighth seeing eye dog, and the current one at the time the statue was created.

John Milton Turner
Born in Frisco, TX in 1935. After losing his sight as a teenager, Turner went on to be successful in business and was appointed by six Governors to serve more than three decades on the Texas Commission for the Blind, was a Director on the Board of Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind and served 17 years as a Trustee of The Seeing Eye of Morristown, NJ.
John Turner's leadership by example has inspired thousands of others to strive for success. He continually gives generously of his time and self to help others to confront the challenge of vision loss and to move forward with confidence.
