This statue is made of granite of VIlalba.
The author is Antonio Faílde Gago.
Was a Renfe commission to decorate the gardens of the San Francisco station, before being inaugurated by Franco in July 1957.
The size is aruond 1'6 m.
It was restored because vandals broken the head of one child.
The paragüero was the character who fixed the umbrellas. They also sold knives or other utensils.
