A bilingual plaque erected to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the opening of Garth Victorian pier in Bangor on the 14th May 1896.

The plaque was unveiled on the 14th May 2021 by the Mayor Owen Hurcum.

The pier continues to be a major tourist attraction in Bangor. A nice stroll out into the Menai Strait and great views of Snowdonia.

The text on the plaque reads:
