This is one of several war memorials in a memorial gardens. It is dedicated to those who served in the first world war. The dedication plaque reads as follows:
On behalf of the citizens of St. Thomas, we extend our sincere gratitude to the members of the Veterans War Memorial Committee. Their vision and extaoridanry leadership made it possible for the creation of this memorial gardens. St. Thomas City Council - 2017.
