In 2012 the City of Ithaca Public Art Commission launched a program to decorated their utility boxes. The program became known as 21 Boxes. Alina Kim has decorated this utility box with Red-crowned cranes. The street side gives the utility box it's name. A sky full of cranes are depicted flying over a stylized cityscape. The north side has a large painting of a standing Red-crowned crane with three cranes in the sky above. The sidewalk side has a large Red-crowned crane is flight with two smaller cranes flying higher above. The south side has four smaller Red-crowned cranes in flight.
