The first baseball club in 's-Hertogenbosch was founded on June 20, 1965, an initiative of several students. Another baseball club was founded in Rosmalen on September 6, 1978 by the van der Meer family.
Both associations experienced a steady growth and finally on June 23th, 2003, the Baseball and Softball Association Gryphons was created from a merger between the association H.B.S. from 's-Hertogenbosch and de Knuppelaars from Rosmalen.
Thanks to this merger, Gryphons has grown into one of the larger baseball and softball clubs in the Netherlands with nearly 350 members.
The brand new sports park "De Groote Wielen" has been available since 2006. A beautiful location with all imaginable facilities located in Rosmalen.
