The colour-printed, and slightly reflective Welcome Sign stands about 4 metres tall, at the (only main) south eastern entrance to this rural community, on the southern side of the road. The year before (2019), the community was struck by a SEVERE bushfire that destroyed a lot of property, but no houses in this area.

The large top square photograph is of the iconic Mount Coxcomb - which while I have wanted to climb up its rugged slopes ever since moving to the area (originally to Coopernook in 1997), as it was at that time a privately owned Conservation Area; later becoming the Coxcomb Nature Reserve in 2009 (ex: NPWS Document) - thus excluding the lay person like myself from access. While it is some 20km from where I work, it was quite visible, while it was spectacularly on fire at night time. It was still severely scarred on my visit to the area 10 months later - to find, and a score a Geodash (GDFB-YQYD).

The three photos below show the agricultural/orchard nature of the settlement; the cultural aspect - of the Upper Lansdowne Memorial Hall - established in 1925, to honour the locals who served in The Great War; and a sample of the many horses in the community.

The community is so small that there is no specific information like its population (which would be in the low hundreds), though there is a small Post Office. From the site for the Memorial Hall: "The landscape is spectacular, with majestic volcanic outcrops amid rolling green pastures and lush native vegetation, set against the stunning sandstone backdrop of the Lansdowne Escarpment. It is justly called ‘The Valley of Views’!" [ex: Upper Lansdowne Hall site].
