Location of sighting: A backyard in Holland, Michigan
Late in the evening of May 14, 2021, theHostas watched the ISS fly over Holland, Michigan. The sky was clear. The ISS came from the SW and was clearly visible the entire flight. The ISS was visible for 7 minutes, as it passed almost directly overhead, before disappearing into the horizon to the ENE. It was an awesome sight!
Site 1: The ISS passed over El Reno, OK at a brightness of -3.9 and Altitude of 89° at 22:01:23.
Site 2: The ISS passed over Holland, MI at a brightness of -3.9 and Altitude of 89° at 23:04:30. The total flight time between the two observed points was 7 minutes.
Site 3: The ISS passed over Brunete, Spain at a brightness of -3.2 and Altitude of 59° at 05:20:25.
From El Reno, OK to Holland MI is 895 miles, and Holland, MI to Brunete, Spain is 4544 miles; for a total El Reno, OK to Brunete, Spain of 19 min 2 secs of ISS flight time, and 5439.5 miles.
