The spring is associated with a large limestone formation that extends from Katherine to the Queensland border.
Wet season rainfall absorbed into the pourus limestone and is heated by the earth before being released as crystal clear spring water.
After the wet season the pools are checked for saltwater crocodiles before being opened.
There is ample parking onsite and the springs are a short 200m walk from here.
