Build around 1935 during the installation of the nearby Luftwaffe airfield. During this time, the administration build a new primary school and this cemetery chapel.

It was renovated in 2019 and get a new roof and stained glass windows.

The cemetery includes body and urn grave fields and a new anonymus urn stele field. It is operated about 150 years and has a capibility of about 300 graves.
