A U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter crashed at the Clarence E. Page Airport. The pilots were on a training flight when the plane had a malfunction, caught on fire, then crash landed. It's amazing that both pilots escaped the burning plane without injury.
Access is denied to the coordinates of the crash site. However, you can view the location from Gregory Rd, looking east towards the runway. At the time of my visit you could see the inspectors on site.
