CZ: Lounské divadlo pochází z 50. let a v soucasné dobe je významným regionálním kulturním centrem. Porádá nejen divadelní predstavení, ale také koncerty, besedy, výstavy a poskytuje zázemí pro vystoupení detí a ochotnických spolku. V budove divadla sídlí Galerie mesta Louny nebo-li GAML a divadlo provozuje ješte Kulturní dum Zastávka.
Historie
První divadelní spolek fungoval v Lounech v hotelu Záložna od roku 1932. Po válce zacali obyvatelé Loun vybírat na nové stálé divadlo, prodávaly se tzv. cihly. Lounské divadlo bylo otevreno 29. ríjna 1950 (tehdy jako Fucíkovo divadlo) a behem své historie zažilo nekolik peripetií, které na konci 80. let neslavne vyvrcholily úplným uzavrením a více než desetiletým chátráním divadelní budovy. Po dlouhých diskusích se nakonec mesto rozhodlo budovu opravit a vrátit jí jméno po lounském rodákovi Jaroslavu Vrchlickém, jak to plánovali autori prvních návrhu a prispevatelé do sbírky. Po nekolikaleté rekonstrukci tak zacala novodobá historie lounského divadla, 16. listopadem 2003 bylo po více než 53 letech otevreno podruhé.
Soucasnost
Divadlo uvádí dovozová predstavení profesionálních i amatérských divadel, detská predstavení, koncerty, výstavy výtvarného umení, nabízí i komercní a jiné kulturní využití. Pri divadle pusobí Kruh prátel hudby, pravidelne porádá prehlídku Lounské divadlení. Zdroj: (

Divadlo je pojmenováno po významné osobnosti ceské kultury
Jaroslavu Vrchlickém, vlastním jménem Emil Jakub Frida (17. února 1853 Louny – 9. zárí 1912 Domažlice). Byl to ceský spisovatel, básník, dramatik a prekladatel. Jeho monumentální dílo, obsahující všechny žánry literární tvorby, patrí k jednomu z nejbohatších a nejvšestrannejších v ceské literature. (

EN: The Louny Theater dates back to the 1950s and is currently an important regional cultural center. It organizes not only theater performances, but also concerts, discussions, exhibitions and provides facilities for performances by children and amateur associations. The theater building houses the Louny City Gallery or GAML, and the theater is also operated by the Zastávka Cultural House.
History
The first theater association has been operating in Louny in the Záložna Hotel since 1932. After the war, the inhabitants of Louny began to choose for a new permanent theater, so-called bricks were sold. The Louny Theater was opened on October 29, 1950 (then as the Fucík Theater) and during its history it has experienced several vicissitudes, which at the end of the 1980s infamously culminated in the complete closure and more than a decade of decay of the theater building. After long discussions, the city finally decided to repair the building and return it after its native Jaroslav Vrchlický from Louny, as planned by the authors of the first designs and contributors to the collection. After several years of reconstruction, the modern history of the Louny theater began, and on November 16, 2003, it was opened for the second time in more than 53 years.
Present
The theater presents import performances of professional and amateur theaters, children's performances, concerts, art exhibitions, and also offers commercial and other cultural uses. The Circle of Friends of Music operates at the theater, and regularly organizes the Louny Theater show.

Jaroslav Vrchlický, real name Emil Jakub Frida (February 17, 1853 Louny - September 9, 1912 Domažlice). He was a Czech writer, poet, playwright and translator. His monumental work, containing all genres of literary work, is one of the richest and most versatile in Czech literature. (
