The Starlite opened on April 29, 1950. The first movie shown was "When My Baby Smiles at Me."
It had a single screen, forty feet tall and ninety-three feet wide. Five hundred cars could enjoy the films. There was a snack bar and a playground. In later years, the speakers were removed and visitors would use radios for sound.
There was a lucky license plate game. If your license was on the board in the snack bar, you would win free tickets.
There was a dusk to dawn show on Sundays of three day weekends.
It closed in 2008.
Current condition: Very little remains (signs, speaker posts, car ramps, screen structure, etc.)
